Training Highlights:

·The course is structured as a two-week program, with sessions held once a week (July 9 and 16, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. CT) Live On Zoom.

·Covers essential topics including: • Brain Injury Overview • Cognition • Guidelines for Interacting and Building Rapport • Brain Injury and Behavior • Medical Complications after Brain Injury • Medication Management• Families Coping with Brain Injury

Information & Eligibility:

This program is tailored for non-licensed direct care staff, individual caregivers, and for licensed professionals who interact with individuals with brain injuries in the course of their work, who want to build their foundational brain injury knowledge base. It offers essential knowledge and skills to anyone caring for or supporting individuals with brain injuries. No prior experience or education is required. Professional Credits:

AAFP CME Credit: The AAFP has reviewed the Brain Injury Fundamentals Course (Instructor Led) and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 09/02/2024 to 09/02/2025. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This session, Brain Injury Fundamentals Instructor Led Course, is approved for 8 AAFP Elective credits. (As indicated on the course completion certificate).
