Speaker Bio:
Lenore “Lenny” Hawley, MSSW, LCSW, CBIST has served individuals living with brain injury and their families for 40 years as a clinician and researcher, with specific expertise in group therapy, social competence, and self-advocacy. She is the Brain Injury Education Counselor at Craig Hospital, and the Principal Investigator of a TBI Model System randomized controlled trial on self-advocacy. Lenny is the author of A Family Guide to the Head Injured Adult, The Self-Advocacy for Independent Life Workbook, and co-author of Group Interactive Structured Treatment - GIST: for Social Competence, as well as numerous journal articles and book chapters. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Network of Social Workers in Acquired Brain Injury.
