Speaker Bios

Rita Lenhardt, DHSc, CCC-SLP, is an Assistant Professor in the Speech-Language Pathology Program at Gannon University in Florida. She has over 15 years of clinical experience in the field of traumatic brain injury, including the assessment and treatment of neurogenic disorders across the lifespan. Dr. Lenhardt teaches graduate-level courses in neuroscience and language disorders and presents at state and national conferences. Her current research is focused on the application of the project-based approach to TBI treatment. In 2015, before moving to the US from Canada, she was recognized by the Brain Injury Association of Ontario as Professional of the Year for her commitment to functional, meaningful, and evidence-based practice in the field of brain injury.

Mariah Bell, M.S., CF-SLP, received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from The University of Akron in 2021. She graduated from Gannon University with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2023. Mariah has clinical experience working with children in various settings including home health, private practice, and public schools. She currently works as a contracted therapist in Hillsborough County.
