Although headache is the most common complaint in those with concussion, other symptoms including vestibular, vision, and cognitive are often present and can be overlooked during the medical interview. Join this Robert Sbordone Memorial mTBI/Concussion Lecture webinar as Lori Boyajian-O'Neill, DO, discusses these symptoms and basic strategies for management.

Speaker:
Lori A. Boyajian-O’Neill, D.O., is a primary care sports medicine physician who is board certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and with added certification in sports medicine through the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine. She is a graduate of Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas and received her medical degree from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Boyajian-O’Neill is a full-time practicing sports medicine physician at Midwest Sports Medicine Physicians/Midwest Center for Concussion Management affiliated with HCA Midwest Health in Overland Park, Kansas and Independence, Missouri.
Dr. Boyajian-0’Neill has particular interest in mild traumatic brain injury/concussion and is Founder and Director of the Midwest Center for Concussion Management affiliated with Overland Park Regional Medical Center (Overland Park, Kansas) and Centerpoint Medical Center (Independence, Missouri). She has served on the Board of Directors of Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City. Dr. Boyajian-O’Neill has presented numerous lectures on mTBI/concussion to colleagues at national professional conventions and meetings and to community schools and organizations. She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals related to sports medicine and concussion. Dr. Boyajian-O’Neill is on the working group of the American College of Sports Medicine Team Physician Consensus Conference which has written numerous publications for sports medicine physicians including on mild traumatic brain injury/concussion.
Dr. Boyajian-O’Neill has served as medical director at mass-participation multi-day national championship competitions including for USA Track and Field, USA Volleyball, USA Boxing, USA Triathlon and USA Cycling. She serves as team physician for United States Volleyball Women’s National Team, Kansas City Mavericks Hockey Club, Avila University and several Kansas City-area high schools.
Dr. Boyajian-O’Neill has received awards including being named Super Doctor for the Kansas City area.
